                                                       Irish blessing

Today Saint Patrick's day is celebrated worldwide. It commemorates the death of Saint Patrick, a bishop who went to Ireland to Christianise the natives. It is believed that he used a clover or a shamrock(any three-leaves plant) to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish. That is why people wear green this day and the clover is the unofficial national flower of Ireland.

If you decide to celebrate this day, to my young teenage students you CANNOT drink, to my adult students, you SHOULDN'T drink too much. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
